How to explain vintage grade? Even the local sandalwood guys aren’t truly sure on what creates a ‘vintage’ wood. Compared to our other Java wood this vintage grade carries a more intense and beautiful aroma. An exquisite, complex and bright aroma of tangy citrus and exotic fruits.

When a sandalwood smells this good, to me the lines of beauty between sandalwood and Agarwood starts to get a bit vague.

Make no mistake, this stuff is some of the best sandalwood your likely to come across. Vintage grade accounts for around 1/1000 of the wild wood that’s collected.

Cut to size in house by us, ready for your appreciation! These smaller (session sized) pieces Are ready to go, the perfect size to heat up at home!

Sandalwood is indigenous to many Asian & African countries and also grown in Australia, Hawaii. Mysore sandalwood from India being the most expensive and most famous. It’s oil is widely used in perfumery and the wood can be burned for its scent.

How to use? High heat doesn’t bring out the best for this wood. Use on an ashy coal (please wait for coal to form white ash, or even wait longer for lower heat!) And preferably a mica plate. The best results with this wood is to use an electric Subitism heater (for incense burning) at low heat.
