This new soil batch is from Leyte region. Aroma of acute honey sweetness and depending on the chip can be complex spicy, pencil shavings and floral. I personally like to shave this wood with a scalpel and heat the shavings for a quick Oud hit but you can heat whole chunks if you wish.
Soil grade Agarwood is found on or under the ground where the wood itself starts to fossilise. you will notice the chips have a more sandy nature when scraped opposed to the normal fibrous nature of wood chips. given enough time in the ground soil chips will give off a clearer Agarwood aroma without any natural wood notes.
Best appreciated use On a Subitism heater or on coal with a sheet of mica to lower the heat!
