The latest batch of sinking Sumba has arrived, and it lives up to expectations! The fragrance is a robust tangerine-like scent—remarkably pleasant with no regrets.

Comprising 100% Sumba Island old-growth wild tree sinking sandalwood chips, this represents some of the finest sandalwood found in Indonesia. Derived from authentic, old-growth wild stock, the older trees yield a superior scent. Sinking in water is an indicator of oil-packed sandalwood from aged trees.

We personally cut these pieces to size, making them ready for your enjoyment. These smaller, session-sized chips are perfect for home use. Each package contains a mix of pieces weighing between 0.5-1g, easily breakable into smaller chunks if necessary.

Sandalwood, native to various Asian and African countries, as well as Australia and Hawaii, holds a significant place. While Mysore sandalwood from India is renowned for being the most expensive, it is widely used in perfumery, and its wood can be burned for its fragrance.

Despite its delicate nature, the aroma is exquisite. Optimal usage involves warming the wood without burning it to unveil the oil's true scent. High heat is not recommended. Instead, use an ashy coal (allowing it to form white ash) and preferably a mica plate. For the best results, employ an electric Subitism heater at low heat when burning for incense.
